Impact Assessment Series: Traffic Impact Assessment

 

The transportation system and road networks in Hong Kong have long been praised for their efficiency. However, lengthy queues of slow moving traffic are becoming typical sight in our city. What to do? A traffic impact assessment (TIA) with use of visualization can be well-integrated with traffic engineering and management framework to coordinate solutions that optimize the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of the city’s transportation system. In this issue, TIA is briefly explained.
