“Be a Teen Town Planner – Planning for a New Era Community” Competition 2024
(45週年活動巡禮 - 做個青蔥規劃師–規劃新時代社區比賽2024)
Students promoting to S3 to S6 in the 2024/25 school year from secondary schools are cordially invited to participate in the “Be a Teen Town Planner – Planning for a New Era Community” Competition 2024 (做個青蔥規劃師–規劃新時代社區比賽2024) co-organised by the Planning Department (PlanD) and the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP). The Competition aims at promoting the awareness of urban planning and design among secondary school students and enabling students to understand their possible study and career pathways related to geography, urban studies and urban planning.
Participants will have the opportunity to undertake a planning project for Lau Fau Shan, Yuen Long under the mentorship and guidance of professional town planners to plan the area as a sustainable community in the new era. Certificates will be given to all participants who have duly submitted their planning proposals, and winning teams will also receive a trophy and book coupon. Schools interested in the Competition should complete the registration form (accessible through the QR code or at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeD_3nqiXRthVlFIDBlF7BkBAmLMa3GdJxWIXr_XDCCPgKKeQ/viewform on or before 14 June 2024 (Friday). Further details will be provided to schools via email upon confirmation of registration.
