Data-driven Decision Making

 

"Be the change you wish to see in the world” might have been one of the mottos planners live by.  In an era where “the future is here”, planners could leverage on big data and related modelling/simulation and visualisation methods to make data-driven decisions.  But firstly, we have to be acquainted with urban informatics, what it can enable us to do, and more importantly, have the mentality, determination and readiness to change the ways we are practicing our professional, before we further inspire and steer changes.
