Manager, Planning and Design - Urban Renewal Authority
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake urban renewal in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a holistic approach to urban renewal with redevelopment and rehabilitation as its core businesses.
Manager, Planning and Design

Responsibilities:
To undertake strategic planning study and concept design for assigned urban renewal projects and / or action areas
To assist in the preparation of Preliminary Project Feasibility Study, identifying opportunities and enhancement during early planning stage
To monitor consultant performance and progress of assigned projects through various stages of planning and implementation
To undertake development scheme proposals for implementation under section 25 and development project proposals under section 26 under the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance; and subsequent section 16 planning applications as appropriate
To prepare relevant inhouse papers, planning reports and necessary technical assessments for submission to Government and/ or the Town Planning Board
To make presentations to internal or external forums such as district councils, public briefing/ workshops/ seminars on URA projects and activities
Requirements:
Degree holder in Town Planning or related discipline
Recognised professional planning qualifications, e.g., HKIP, RTPI, CIP, PIA, RPP
At least 8 years’ relevant experience, with hands-on experience in urban planning/design in Hong Kong
Hands-on experience to leverage on geospatial analysis and GIS-aid application for urban planning/design
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
