Responsibilities
Plan and lead a team of professional staff to secure integrated railway and property development projects in Hong Kong, to ensure project deliveries are technically and commercially viable, in compliance with statutory planning requirements, and to meet the Corporation’s goals
Direct, control and monitor all town planning and urban design activities for the integrated railway and property development projects and seek the necessary government policy support and planning approvals
Negotiate and lobby relevant stakeholders on planning proposals and applications, and formulate strategy for public engagement on property development projects
Conduct town planning feasibility studies, keep abreast of latest trends and government policy directions as well as their implications in order to identify development opportunities
Supervise the performance of consultants for planning, urban design, environment, traffic and specialist areas to ensure deliverables with quality standard
Provide executive support in coordinating departmental inputs to provide regular reports and strategic documents for management decision making as well as carry out other special duties as assigned
Requirements
Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in planning and development projects, of which 8 years at managerial level
Possession of Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners or a recognised professional institution
Good leadership and strategic planning skills with strong business acumen
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
Remarks
Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
