Manager, Business Strategy - Urban Renewal Authority

The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake urban renewal in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government.  The URA adopts a holistic approach to urban renewal with redevelopment and rehabilitation as its core businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • To carry out and monitor in-depth design and/or technical studies / assessments and provide expertise for feasibility of assigned initiatives / preliminary project feasibility studies (“PPFS”) / strategic studies

  • To procure, manage and monitor consultants / expertise engaged in the planning, design and implementation of various assigned studies

  • To prepare and follow up on necessary submission works in relation to design and implementation aspects of various assigned studies action areas with Government / other stakeholders

  • To provide professional advice to internal divisions and departments on the strategy to implement various projects covering the URA’s “5R” under a holistic approach, and to estimate and advise the required internal resources regarding aspects involving architectural, traffic, civil and structural aspects

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Town Planning or relevant discipline

  • Recognized professional qualifications of Hong Kong Institute of Planners or the equivalent with not less than 5 years’ post-qualification experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience in planning studies, development and control

  • Hands-on experience in GIS application and development
