Manager, Planning and Design - Urban Renewal Authority
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake urban renewal in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a holistic approach to urban renewal with redevelopment and rehabilitation as its core businesses.
Manager, Planning and Design
(Ref. M(P&D))
Responsibilities:
To manage the planning/ design works of the assigned preliminary project feasibility studies, district studies and restructuring, redevelopment, revitalisation and/ or preservation projects
To provide inputs on district based planning/ design in particular the planning and design of underground space in identified Action Areas
To prepare and oversee various planning, building procedures and submissions of assigned projects, monitoring of consultants’ performance, and progress of assigned projects through various stage of planning, design and implementation
To prepare development proposals and carry out tasks under planning procedures including preparation of draft Development Scheme Plan, Master Layout Plan and relevant technical assessments for assigned redevelopment projects
Requirements:
Degree holder in Architecture, Town Planning, Urban Design or related field
Relevant professional qualifications, e.g. HKIP, HKIA or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification work experience or at least 7 years’ post-degree work experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in supervisory position
Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management role for development projects
Good communication / presentation skills and hands-on experience in architectural/graphic design
Relevant experience in planning / coordination of large underground space in development projects will be an advantage
