Senior Manager, Business Strategy - Urban Renewal Authority
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake urban renewal in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a holistic approach to urban renewal with redevelopment and rehabilitation as its core businesses.
Senior Manager, Business Strategy

Responsibilities:
To structure and procure strategic district-based studies, preliminary project feasibility studies (PPFS) or other studies and assessments identified by the URA Board/relevant taskforces and Government bodies
To oversee and take charge of management of consultancies on planning studies, layout and urban design, and technical assessments
To liaise with government departments and bureaus, district councils, NGO and other urban renewal stakeholders as necessary to solicit support to the PPFS/strategic study proposals
To package and firm up planning requirements and parameters of urban renewal proposals recommended in the PPFS/strategic studies
To assist establishment of policies and procedure in carrying out the work above and facilitate development of Urban Renewal Information System, a geographical information system which is crucial for supporting PPFS/strategic studies
Requirements:
Degree holder in Town Planning or related discipline
Recognised professional qualifications of HKIP, or equivalent
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, in which at least 10 years’ post qualification experience and 5 years’ experience in managerial position
Experience in working on local and/or overseas area-wide planning/urban design projects
Experience in working with local developers on sizeable comprehensive projects with combination of commercial, residential and landscaping urban design and infrastructure components, Government departments and other agencies in the development field
Good communication and presentational skills and experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams
