Manager, Business Strategy - URA

The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake urban renewal in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a holistic approach to urban renewal with redevelopment and rehabilitation as its core businesses.

Manager, Business Strategy

Responsibilities:

  • To provide planning inputs to development of an urban renewal business strategy on project implementation

  • To assist in management and steering of consultant services relating to strategic study and preliminary project feasibility studies

  • To coordinate with relevant divisions and departments to assemble necessary information on planning parameters and justifications for support of project site selection process

  • To provide professional inputs in examining new initiatives, formulating strategies and review of policies and procedure for planning and implementation

    Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Town Planning or related/relevant discipline

  • Recognized professional qualifications i.e. HKIP, RTPI, CIP, PIA or RPP

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification work experience

  • Experience in working on local and/or overseas area-wide planning/urban design projects would be an advantage

  • Good communication and presentational skills and hands-on experience in urban planning/design in Hong Kong

  • Knowledge of GIS application and development preferred

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
