Wish you a happy and prosperous New Year!
To start the new year fresh, what about spending some time in nature and enjoying the fresh air and breathtaking scenery of the New Territories? Challenge yourself with a hike! Perhaps you are also going to have meals after meals of New Year treats over the long holiday. It would be a wonderful exercising chance for you!
The Young Planners Group will be organising Fortune Walk@Northern Metropolis 新年行大運@北都 on the ninth day of Lunar New Year (February 18). We will be hiking on the Wa Shan Trail, which was previously named Top Hill Military Road for border patrol and is now referred to as the “Mini Great Wall” of Hong Kong. All HKIP members are welcome, and it would provide a relaxing environment for senior and young planners to interact!
The event details are as follows:
Date: 18 February 2024 (Sunday)
Assembly Time: 10:00 a.m.
Assembly Point: Yuen Long Station Exit G1
Route (~5.5km) : Sheung Shui Station Exit D1 (Assembly) → 虎地坳 (Fu Tei Au) → 杉山 (Cham Shan) → 華山 (Wa Shan) → 犀牛望月 (High Hill) → 馬頭嶺 (Ma Tau Leng) → 松山 (Tsung Shan) → 坪輋路 (Ping Che Road) → Sheung Shui Station (Dismissal)
Estimated Ending Time: 1:00pm
* Note: Some hiking experience is required.
